Every stage except time trials features intermediate sprints. The first riders to cross the sprint line are awarded 3, 2, and 1 point(s). At the finish line, the first three to cross it are awarded 10, 6, and 4 points. If two or more riders have the same number of points in the Sprint Classification, the following shall take priority:

1. the higher number of stage wins

2. the higher number of wins at intermediate sprints

3. the higher rank in the Overall Individual Classification

The leader in the Sprint Classification wears the Bronze Vintage VDB Sprint Leader Jersey.
